About
Eric Gardner is a 1985 graduate of the US Naval Academy. He served 30 years in the US Navy, as a Naval Flight Officer, primarily flying the E-2C Hawkeye. Eric commanded VAW-125, an E-2C Hawkeye squadron in Norfolk, VA and Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan, home of the Navy’s only forward-deployed airwing. He also established Naval Support Facility Deveselu, Romania in 2014 which hosts the first AEGIS Ashore Missile Defense System for the US and NATO. Retiring as a Navy Captain, Eric, and his family, moved from Naples, Italy and reestablished their residence in Virginia Beach.
Eric Gardner joined RE/MAX Alliance in December 2015 and became an Associate Broker in December 2018.
Providing “Realty Services for Those Who Serve,” Eric concentrates his realty services around the Veteran and active military communities. Through the Veterans Real Estate Benefits Network, he has provided over $285,000 in VREB Rewards back to his Veteran clients following transaction closings. Eric has achieved the following National Association of REALTORs designations – Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate, REALTOR’s Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Military Resource Professional (MRP), and is a certified instructor of the Military and Veteran Housing Certification (MVHC) course.
Eric led the establishment of the Hampton Roads chapter of Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP) in January 2019. VAREP is a national non-profit with a mission to increase sustainable home ownership, VA Loan awareness, financial literacy, and economic opportunity for the Veteran and active military communities.
The Hampton Roads VAREP chapter provides education on Veteran housing topics to local real estate professionals to ensure a higher level of competency when working with Veteran and military clients. Additionally, through fundraising activities, the chapter is able to assist local Veterans experiencing housing hardships through their VAREPCares program.
VAREP is dedicated to serving Veteran’s housing needs = One Veteran at a Time.
